Description
Volume 7, Issue 9 of The Rattler features a special edition produced by the freshman class, highlighting their growing presence on campus. The issue reports that Brother Thomas Treadaway, assistant manager of athletics at St. Mary’s, has been appointed to fill a vacancy as professor of English. An article reflects on the importance of cultivating both intellect and physical strength. Athletic coverage notes victories by the Rattlers over the Hilltoppers and the McMurry College Indians, as well as losses to the Southwestern Buccaneers. Campus updates include the rearrangement of the library to accommodate an expanding collection of books. The issue also reports on the annual Senior Class Dance hosted by the graduating class of St. Mary’s Academy at the Alamo Country Club.
