Description

Volume 6, Issue 14 of The Rattler highlights academic development, campus events, and student life at St. Mary’s College. Articles discuss the college’s physical laboratory and the early but promising growth of the Department of Biology. The issue reports that the Alumni Association will soon initiate new graduates and notes the success of the annual musicale. Religious news includes the forthcoming canonization of Blessed Thérèse of the Infant Jesus, popularly known as the “Little Flower,” on May 17. The Rattler Club plans an afternoon entertainment for graduates of St. Mary’s Academy on May 14 and is also recognized for its widely praised Fiesta float. Additional coverage includes recent baseball game results, the passing of former St. Mary’s athlete Ralph Kingsley, and the ongoing Tuesday meetings of the Senior Sodality, where brief talks on religious subjects such as the lives of saints and Church customs are presented.
