Description
Volume 6, Issue 1 of The Rattler opens the new academic year with an article explaining the origin and meaning behind the newspaper’s name. The issue highlights alumni activities, including the Alumni Association’s field day, which featured an exhibition tennis match by President Leon Walthall, as well as a banquet held at the Gunter Hotel in honor of Very Reverend Ernest J. Sorret, Superior General of the Society of Mary, and Reverend Brother Michael Sehleich, Inspector General of the Society. Additional coverage includes updates on the condition of the campus tennis courts, a list of newly appointed staff members for the academic year, and reports on alumni gatherings such as the summer barbecue and watermelon festival. The issue also notes the organization of several athletic teams at the beginning of the new term.
