Description
Volume 5, Issue 6 of The Rattler covers a range of cultural, religious, and campus developments at St. Mary’s College. The issue includes an article examining the influence of slang on language and society, as well as a reflection on the life and significance of St. Patrick in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day. It notes the beginning of the Lent season and reports on new member inductions into the K.C. fraternity. Additional features highlight notable films of the month, a lecture delivered in the college auditorium by Rev. Father P. Salmoyi, a native Egyptian priest, and the first initiation ceremony of the Chaminade Glee Club. The issue also reports on the organization of an academic football league, preparations for the upcoming baseball season, and a brief article describing a Ford automobile on campus.
