Learn more about Joshua P. Fershee, Dean of Creighton University School of Law, and the journey that led to his service as the law school's 11th dean beginning in July 2019. Dean Fershee shares that this Omaha, Nebraska law school enrolls nearly 400 students annually, with almost half coming from Nebraska and Iowa. Creighton University School of Law has significant opportunities in clinics and pro bono, including their Juvenile Justice Clinic. They offer concentrations in Energy and Environmental Law, as well as Sports Law, given the wide-ranging sports activities that occur locally, including the College World Series. They also offer a concentration in Health Law, and are excited that Creighton University is planning a medical school campus in Phoenix, Arizona, one the law school hopes to collaborate with on a health law externship or residential clinic. Dean Fershee also shares his excitement about the partnership between Creighton School of Law, the Nebraska State Bar Association, UNL Law and 16 law firms and businesses that have joined together to create the Nebraska Legal Diversity Council (NLDC) in order to work towards lessening disparities in the state of Nebraska to create a more diverse and inclusive legal community.
