Dean Capulong is an alumnus of CUNY, and he joined as the Director of the Lawyering Program in 2019. Prior to that he was Professor of Law and inaugural Associate Dean for Clinical and Experiential Education at the University of Montana, and he held additional lawyering and public interest teaching positions at N.Y.U. and Stanford, the latter as externship programs director and lecturer. He started his legal career as a litigator, policy analyst and community organizer.
