This session spearheaded by Thomas Mengler and Aaron Tyler discuss the expression of faith at catholic universities with special attention paid to how it is prioritized at St. Mary's University. While the political climate in America has brought questions surrounding the safety of individuals who practice certain religions, Catholic universities can be a good example of acceptance and understanding.

Religious Freedom in South Texas

This session probes speakers of different faiths to expound upon their experiences and findings of the perception of their faith in South Texas, as well as the broader United States. While there are some faiths that are more celebrated or accepted others have been targeted or persecuted against, and this sessions seeks to help those unsure of other faiths leave with a better understanding and love for their neighbors.

Religious Life on Campus

In this session students take the reigns on explaining how they find community on campus through their faith, how they practice their faith, or potential challenges due to their views on religion, ethics, etc. Each student comments on their own experiences and views of their time on campus, as well as how faith dictates their day-to-day lives.
