Over the past two years, the Office of Historic Preservation ScoutSA team partnered with the Public History program at St. Mary’s University with students in a course titled Public History in the Digital Age. Dr. Lindsey Wieck, Assistant Professor of History, challenged her students to produce an innovative digital project for the Office of Historic Preservation. The hands-on service learning work mimicked what might be asked of them in potential future roles in the field of digital humanities, as employees of cultural resource management firms or museums.
