Description

Volume 8, Issue 8 of The Rattler is dedicated to His Grace, the first Archbishop of San Antonio, the Most Reverend Arthur J. Drossaerts. The issue reports important developments for the future of St. Mary’s College, including plans for the construction of a large, modern gymnasium in the near future. The first meeting of the General Committee for the St. Mary’s College Building and Extension Fund was held at St. Mary’s Academy, while the Alumni Association has begun a fundraising drive to support the construction of a new science hall. Alumni officers are also announced. Student life is highlighted through a Rattler Club event, which hosted an old-fashioned barn party at Richter’s Bakery. Athletic coverage notes a basketball victory over SFA, followed by a loss to the Bobcats.
