Description

Volume 8, Issue 10 of The Rattler reports that St. Mary’s faculty attended the N.E.A. Convention in Dallas and that the college has been officially recognized by the state as a full teachers’ college. The issue notes the beginning of the Lenten season and the Senior Dramatic Club’s preparations for its play, “The Social Lion.” Students attended a lecture by Arthur Hickox on accident prevention, while the Junior and Senior classes gathered for a dinner at El Sombrero. Additional coverage includes an article on Texas Independence Day, a sketch of the planned Chaminade Hall, updates on Rattler Club activities, and the Rattlers finishing their intercollegiate basketball season with a record above 500.
