Description
Volume 8, Issue 12 of The Rattler is a freshman edition of the paper. The issue reports on an inspection visit by Dr. Alfred H. Nolle of Southwest Texas State Teachers’ College on behalf of the Association of Texas Colleges as St. Mary’s sought senior membership. It also covers the fourth general assembly of the C.S.M.C., the continuation of the St. Mary’s Alumni Drive in modified form, and plans for a three-day Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Brothers of Mary in San Antonio. Additional coverage highlights student activities, including a senior class skit, a declamation contest at St. Mary’s Academy, Rattler Club discussions of participation in the alumni drive ,and a proposed fathers’ club, invitations for Marianist high schools to compete in a Catholic basketball championship in Chicago, and notes on the upcoming baseball season.
