Description
Volume 10, Issue 10 of The Rattler reports on significant campus and community developments at St. Mary’s University, including the Alumni Association’s efforts to construct a new gymnasium and ongoing planning by senior and junior classes for end-of-year activities. Sophomore students move forward with plans to establish a student council, while local efforts to beautify Woodlawn Lake highlight community engagement. The Rattler Club continues to expand its activities, and the Music Department announces a sacred concert to be held on March 21 in the college auditorium. In athletics, George Nesrsta, a senior in the Science School, is unanimously elected captain of the Rattler baseball team for the 1929 season, and the issue also features a biographical article on President Herbert Hoover, connecting campus readers to national affairs.
